Getting started
What is AbsoluteBalls.net?+
AbsoluteBalls.net is a free esports analytics and league operations platform. Players can analyze replay data, while league owners can organize seasons, divisions, teams, rosters, historical data, and live competition from one workspace.
Do I need an account?+
No for public Rocket League replay analysis. Connect Ballchasing when you need access to private or unlisted replay groups tied to your Ballchasing account.
Where should I start?+
Players and coaches should start with Find replays. League owners should start with Leagues. Broadcasters should start with Live after the league workspace exists.
League Workspaces
What do I upload for a league?+
Give AbsoluteBalls.net whatever official sources you have: an XLSX schedule/records file, a Ballchasing season or division root, or both. The system builds what it can prove from those sources.
What does Event / Season mean?+
It is the competition period used to organize the league later, such as Season 7, Season 8, Spring 2027, or Worlds 2027. Divisions such as Challengers, Legends, and Titans live inside that event/season.
What if auto-detection gets a name wrong?+
League owners can correct presentation names for seasons, divisions, teams, and players. The original source identity remains underneath so a cosmetic correction does not rewrite replay evidence.
What if replays are missing?+
Missing evidence stays missing. AbsoluteBalls.net does not invent zero-stat games or fake records. You can add roster identities manually and refresh later when better replay coverage becomes available.
Can I exclude a player from current leaderboards without deleting history?+
Yes. League data controls can exclude a player from current leaderboard presentation while preserving the underlying historical records.
Website and broadcast use
Can a league put AbsoluteBalls.net stats on its own website?+
Yes. The current public league APIs can be used by a web developer as the data source for standings, leaderboards, records, team pages, and other league views. A no-code Copy Embed presentation builder is planned, but is not part of the current release yet.
Can I use it with OBS, Streamlabs, or StreamElements?+
Live Broadcast is available now for Rocket League telemetry and series state. A no-code broadcast presentation builder that generates ready-to-paste browser-source overlay URLs is the next presentation layer; do not expect one-click overlay URLs in the current release yet.
Where does a developer get league data?+
Open a public league workspace and use its public league endpoints for manifest, data, and broadcast-oriented output. For cross-site integrations, fetch from the league website's backend/server rather than assuming direct browser CORS access.
Rocket League live
What does Live Broadcast use?+
Rocket League Live Broadcast uses the game's official Stats API through AbsoluteBalls Desktop. Select the league fixture first, then turn Live Connector on. It does not require memory reading or game injection.
Does live data replace replay verification?+
No. Live data is provisional. Saved replay/Ballchasing data remains the verified source for final historical records and replay-derived positioning metrics.
Data trust
Does AbsoluteBalls.net prove that a stat causes wins?+
No. Benchmarks, associations, comparisons, and coaching targets are evidence-grounded decision aids. Association is not automatically causation.
Can the league owner overwrite backend source data?+
No. League owners can change front-end presentation and official administrative display values, but imported evidence stays preserved underneath.
